2011 Opportunity Foundation Update
On December 10th, 2010 we had the wonderful opportunity to host and celebrate Christmas with our Staff at OFI. We invited all 37 of the staff and their family members to come
celebrate the birth of Jesus at the OFI Guest house.
For our Christmas dinner we had the famous Hyderbadi Biryani in three variations vegetarian, mutton (goat) and chicken. It was a joyous meal. The remainder of the evening consisted of Christmas carols, the Indian versions of "21 questions" and "guess that tune", a visit by Santa and his helper and the Christmas message out of Luke 2. For the conclusion of the night we sang an Indian American rendition of "Silent Night" by candle light. It was a divine blessing to be able to enjoy fellowship, celebrate and share with the OFI staff the best gift ever given.
It was one of those evenings where words in our human vocabulary are inadequate because the experience was definitely a glimpse of heaven and it could be seen, heard and felt throughout the course of the evening.
